A couple years back now, I bought a bundle containing a lot of sample packs. Some of the packs included in that bundle I've gotten solid use out of; others are just like a few sounds and then "construction kits" of those same samples being played in simple patterns and then a few really cheap-sounding melodic lines. The existence of this type of sample pack is so extremely lame to me that the only way I can grapple with having them is to try to make something out of them. So I threw this together out of one pack I can't imagine I'd have ever used otherwise. There are a couple tiny background layers from elsewhere too but they're not very noticeable.

All of this is inidicative of my approach to creating music in recent years often being more like a game I'm playing with myself rather than a serious attempt to make something people will be excited to listen to. That being said I like this song though. Trying to hack something together out of construction kits while still feeling like it's an original creation is always a bit tricky; here when using melodic samples I was generally cutting them up or repitching them, or sometimes I just shortened them into sampler patches. I find that shortening sounds into sampler patches often gives music a "tracker" sound, even though I don't use a tracker as I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to tracker workflow.

I wans't sure what to do for a BGA, so I just made a BGI... I deliberately used Arial as the font because I wanted the visual to not only invoke the sky, but old pictures on Windows. Like taking an skyscraper's elevator to a high up office with lots of computers.
