Supposedly you can't have this type of music in rhythm games because it's too easy to hit! I love ambient music, though, so that's not going to stop me from making a BMS anyway. (I can't think of any instances in commercial games offhand, but the Toy Musical series also has a few, such as tiny livings.)
Ultimately, it was a fun exercise in learning how to fill up space in the mix without having too much actually going on in the song, which is something I've always struggled with. I also deliberately avoided using simultaneous harmonies from lead instruments this time, as I think I usually rely too much on having full chords when songwriting. Instead, the harmonies come from the notes overlapping with each other. The result sounds empty but haunting and it was really enjoyable to make.
Also, that's a phone recording of me actually typing in the song name at the end.

The song's name and the BGA's visuals are based on an area in An Untitled Story which is one of my favorite games; the music in the actual area from the game is way more upbeat than this though and not really ambient at all.

This type of music is always going to cap out at a low level difficulty-wise. This does mean you get to have the rare 1 on NORMAL pattern though. I charted the echos as repeated button presses for the ANOTHER, and honestly I was surprised I was able to squeeze a level 9 out of it. Hope people have fun playing even though there's not much to hit.
